Where I've been + Sharpie nail art!

It's been a little over 2 years since my last blog post and I'm so glad to be back to what I love. I know I don't need to explain where I've been but I wanted to at least give the short version of why I've been away in hopes that maybe I can get some of my few readers back as well as maybe gain some new ones. If you can stick around long enough through this post, I have some pretty cool nail art later on.

So, lets go back a couple years. I was with what I thought was an amazing man. The longer we were together, the worse things got. He was very controlling, verbally abusive and not in the least bit supportive. Ultimately, things ended with me being lied to, cheated on and things started getting physical. So for about the 5th time in 6 and a half years, I decided I was done. I finally walked away, and stayed away. I had so much support from my mom and my two best friends. Without the 3 of them, it wouldn't have been possible and I would probably still be in the same routine of that relationship.

October of 2015, when things were at the worst, one of my two best friends introduced me to someone she used to work with. Talking to him helped me through so much and gave me the last little push I needed. We started dating soon after and I fell madly in love. He is what I always imagined love to be. We are now going on 2 and a half amazing years.

Jump forward a bit more. Late November of 2016 we found out we were pregnant. We were both very excited. I have twin girls that are now 12 years old and have always wanted at least one more child. This would have been his first. Things didn't turn out as planned. At 7 weeks, our baby stopped growing and its heart stopped. It was devastating. It took me a very long time to be okay, and I'm still not 100 percent but I am managing so much better and we are trying again.

Here we are now and I'm so excited to see where I can take this page. I'm at a pretty great point in my life and feel so much more on track with where I want things to go. So hopefully you will join me once again on my journey into the nail world!

Now onto the nail art!!!

I've done sharpie nail art before and its so easy and fun to do I figured I would try it again. I want to do this in so many different colors!

I Used 5 different colored Sharpie markers in this mani and I love how it turned out.

I may end up stamping over this before taking it off.

I topped it off with Fast and Hard Quick Dry Glossy Top Coat from Vibrant Vinyls.

I have lots more nail art planned and a very interesting way of choosing what nail art I'll be doing as well as choosing colors. I've added every polish I own into an Excel sheet and I will be using a random number generator to determine my colors. I've also done the same with a ton of nail art ideas that I want to either try for the first time or try again. Until next time, Thanks for stopping by.

Creations By Lynda | Review | Destiny in the Stars Duo

It's been a while since I've blogged and I will hopefully be back to normal very soon. I was planning on having this review up by this last weekend but my furnace decided to stop working. We've had no heat for 2 days now but on a good note we are getting a brand new one tomorrow.

Anyways,  today I have a review over 2 polishes from Creations By Lynda. They are her upcoming duo called Destiny in the Stars which is based off the TV show Dr. Who. I had never seen the show before finding out I would be review this set. I had a free 30 day trial to hulu plus and went and watch a few episodes and found it is something I would actually watch. Enough chatting. Here they are.

First up is Pull To Open which Lynda describes as a deep bright blue jelly with linear holographic polish.

I love this polish. It is super pigmented. I only used 2 coats and it did not cause staining to my skin (where I made boo boos) that you would expect from some deep blue polishes.

Next up we have Nebula which is a lightly tinted topper with pink micro flake glitter, silver holographic stars and mini white stars. It also contains spectraflair.

These will be available for purchase on February 9th, 2015 from Creationsbylynda.net

You can purchase each polish for $12 or the set for $24.

You can also find Lynda on Facebook at facebook.com/Creationsbylynda.net

I will see you all soon!

12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge | Round Up Post

I cant believe the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge has come to an end. I decided to do a round up post where you can see all 12 days in one place and to also talk about some highlights from the challenge.

Click on the image to view bigger
I had so much fun doing this challenge and did so many things that I have either never done or have wanted to do for a while. Some of my favorites are the Minion Santa and Elves, the red and green dry marble, and Rudolph.

Another thing I accomplished with this challenge is that I knocked out so many untried polishes. I've been wanting to try every polish that I own but what girl has enough fingers.

Highlights:
These are just some of the things I have come across during this challenge.

  • First of all I want to give a huge Thank You to Jessica from Be Happy and Buy Polish. This girl is amazing! Not only does she have time to host this challenge but she also promotes the hell out of everyone participating, comments on everyone's nail art, keeps up with other posts on her own page on top of running the Challenge Your Nail Art Facebook group.
  • I also want to give a huge Thank You to everyone who has commented, liked and even just looked at my nail art during this challenge. You all have made me smile every day.
  • I even had a few fangirl moments during this challenge. I was excited to find out that Be Happy and Buy Polish was the host of this challenge. And then Cheyenne who is @cdbnails143 on Instagram liked and commented on my minion blog post. I almost peed my pants. I have followed her for quite some time now on Instagram and she is amazing. Also Kacey who is A Polished Bookworm has commented a few times and I love her. She makes nubbins look amazing!  Of course there have been loads more that I wish to thank for the comments and likes but I just cant cover them all. So just know that this THANK YOU goes to everyone from the Challenge Your Nail Art Facebook Group.
Again this challenge has been super fun to do and complete. I love the Challenge Your Nail Art Group and can wait to see whats next. Thank you again to everyone!

You can find all of my nail art from the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge  by clicking here.

I hope you have all enjoyed the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge. Which was your favorite?

12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge | Day 10 | Ugly Christmas Sweater

I have been excited about today's theme of the Challenge Your Nail Art 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge since all the themes were posted. I am a huge fan of PANC (Polish Addict Nail Color) nail polishes and I've been waiting for a reason to use Ugly Christmas Sweater. What better time then now.

My camera made some of the colors a little brighter then they were.
Items Used:

Pure Ice - Kiss Me Here
PANC - Ugly Christmas Sweater
White, Black, Green, Red, Turquoise, Pink, and Lime Green Acrylic Paint
Wet N Wild Matte Top Coat

I tried to incorporate as many colors into the actual nail art that I could find in the glitter. The lime green acrylic paint actually appears to be yellow in the pictures. I will be trying Ugly Christmas Sweater nail art again next year because I love how these turned out and cant wait to try them when my art has improved.

Here's what is next!
