Today's theme for the Challenge Your Nail Art 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge is freestyle. I have thought about this from the beginning. What is one to do when given a freestyle challenge. 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge | Day 10 | Ugly Christmas Sweater

I have been excited about today's theme of the Challenge Your Nail Art 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge since all the themes were posted. I am a huge fan of PANC (Polish Addict Nail Color) nail polishes and I've been waiting for a reason to use Ugly Christmas Sweater. What better time then now.

My camera made some of the colors a little brighter then they were.

I tried to incorporate as many colors into the actual nail art that I could find in the glitter. The lime green acrylic paint actually appears to be yellow in the pictures. I will be trying Ugly Christmas Sweater nail art again next year because I love how these turned out and cant wait to try them when my art has improved.

12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge | Day 9 | Glitter

Who doesn't love glitter? That is today's theme for day 9 of the Challenge Your Nail Art 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge. So many possibilities. I racked my brain on what to do for this theme. I went rather simple. I was packing up my nail polish to move back home (I've been staying with my mom for a bit) and I came across some green glitter polishes just laying there in true ombre fashion. So why not go with a green glitter ombre for the glitter theme.

It looked more ombre when they were laid out in front of me. Also while working on these I put together a little picture tutorial for full coverage glitter and glitter removal that will be up sometime in January after this challenge is over.

Today is day 5 of the Challenge Your Nail Art 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge. The theme is Ice Blue and White colors. I knew from day 1 what I wanted to do for this theme. I choose to go with icicles on an icy blue background. So here they are.

12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge | Day 3 | Snowmen

Its time for day 3 of the Challenge Your Nail Art Facebook groups 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge. Today's theme is Snow Men. I did a snow man last year and I really love seeing how much I have improved over time at nail art. In case your curious you can find last years snow man Here. Let me know which is your favorite. I really love this guy. Did you notice the "Baby its cold outside" on my index finger? My first time writing anything on my nails. 

I tend to collect what I call Novelty nail polish bottles. Last year at Christmas time I picked up a cute little snow man bottle at Sally's. Now with my novelty polishes, I DO NOT OPEN THEM. For me they are my collector bottles. I've been dying to do something with my little snow man so as an added bonus.........

12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge | Day 1 | Snow Flakes

I recently joined a group on Facebook called Challenge Your Nail Art. I love this group. They have regular short challenges and they are come and go as you please. Meaning you don't have to commit to a full challenge. For the month of December they are doing the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge which I am super excited about. If you have followed me for a while you may remember the Let It Snow challenge from last year, which you can find Here. For some reason I love the idea of a challenge which does just that. It challenges you to do things you wouldn't normally go for and also if you are in a mani funk, you always have an idea to go on. So enough chatting. Here is the first day of the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge.

For day 1, the theme is Snow Flakes. I've done snow flakes before but I'm loving how these turned out.

Veterans Day 2014 | Camouflage Nail Art

Today is Veterans Day so what better nail art is there other than camouflage. My sister is really big into camouflage and I've been wanting to give it a try for a while now. I'm actually pleased with how well they turned out. I will probably be doing these in many other color combinations. Onto the nail art.

13 days of Halloween | Spider Webs

Its day 4 of the 13 days of Halloween and today's theme is Spider Webs. I've done spider webs before and loved doing them. They are so easy and fun to do and you can add so many things including spiders, dew drops or anything you would find in a spiders web.

Neon Flowers and Rhinestones

It's been a while since I've had nail art to post. You ever had one of those periods of time where you just dont want to. Well I finally got around to doing my nails today. I'm somewhat ok with how these turned out however due to the heat my polish would not dry at all. So as soon as i took the pictures I had to make supper and they basically melted off. Every thing I touched would pull the polish in all sort of funky directions, so I ended up taking it off. All but the accent nail.

I wish I could have captured the neon better than I did. It was so bright.

Born Pretty Store Review | Stamper and Sequins

I was sent a few items from Born Pretty Store to review. I have a stamper/scraper set and some glitter sequins to show you.

First up I'm going to show you the stamper/scraper set. I am extremely impressed with this stamper. The stamper itself is so squishy and works 100 times better than my old one. I will definitely be using this one from now on. It is double sided with a larger stamper on one side and a smaller stamper on the other. The scraper is just as good. I finally have an all plastic scraper that will not damage my plates.

The only downside to the squishy-ness is you get dust and hair and everything else attaching to it. Nothing a cotton ball and some polish remover cant help with though. I just wiped it before each use.

Below you will see the difference the scraper makes. I used to get so mad after seeing all the scratches on my plates. Not Anymore!

 Now for some stamping. I want to point out that I LOVE the idea of stamping but hated stamping. I just could never get it to work. I found my problem after trying this. It was the stamper, Not me!

It picks up the entire image smoothy and transfers great. Expect to see more stamping from me coming up.

Now for some sequin glittery goodness.

I have never used these before so I cant exactly compare them to anything but I can say it extremly fun to use these. There are so many different things you can do with them. I was half expecting the shine to go away after applying top coat, but as you can see...They still shine! I love these. I will be using them more coming up.

Let It Snow Challenge | Day 19 | Half Moons

The Let It Snow challenge is almost over. I'm a little sad. This has been super fun! Day 19 is Half Moons. I've never done half moons before so this was rather interesting. I know that most people use circle stickers to get the perfect half moon shape. I don't have any circle stickers so I just hand painted my half moons and I added a little extra to them. Hope you like!

Let It Snow Challenge | Day 15 | Winter Hats, Mittens and Scarfs

Day 15 of the Let it Snow Challenge theme is Winter Hats, Mittens and Scarfs. I sat on this idea for a while and was going to try and incorporate all 3 into my nail art. Nope, didn't happen. I chose to go with mittens. This turned out horrible. I have one that looks sort of like a mitten and the other looks like an oven mitt. Oh well, that's the point of a challenge. Right? I challenged myself to something I hadn't done, and failed. Which means this will be a try again mani. Well hope you like it more than I do.

I forgot to mention that as soon as I top coated it smeared in areas. The one time I don't use my acrylic paints and this happens.

Black and Silver Glitter Gradient with Pure Ice

I decided to try one of the things on my Upcoming 2014 list, which you can find at the top of my blog. I went with Glitter Gradient. I love how simple this was and I think it turned out great.

 

I used Pure Ice polishes in Black Out and Dazzle Me.

Let It Snow Challenge | Day 12 | Snowman

Today is the start of the second half of the Let it Snow Challenge. Day 12's theme is Snowman. I I had a hard time choosing what blue I wanted to use as my base under the glitter. So I took to my nail wheels. I think I painted about 7 different blues before choosing. Find out below what blue I choose. Hope you like them as much as I do.
