12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge | Day 10 | Ugly Christmas Sweater

I have been excited about today's theme of the Challenge Your Nail Art 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge since all the themes were posted. I am a huge fan of PANC (Polish Addict Nail Color) nail polishes and I've been waiting for a reason to use Ugly Christmas Sweater. What better time then now.

My camera made some of the colors a little brighter then they were.
Items Used:

Pure Ice - Kiss Me Here
PANC - Ugly Christmas Sweater
White, Black, Green, Red, Turquoise, Pink, and Lime Green Acrylic Paint
Wet N Wild Matte Top Coat

I tried to incorporate as many colors into the actual nail art that I could find in the glitter. The lime green acrylic paint actually appears to be yellow in the pictures. I will be trying Ugly Christmas Sweater nail art again next year because I love how these turned out and cant wait to try them when my art has improved.

Here's what is next!

13 days of Halloween | Nightmare Before Christmas

Sadly it is the last day of the 13 days of Halloween. My obsession with nail polish and nail art began 2 years ago today when I saw somewhere online that you could paint Jack Skellington on your nails. Who would have thought, Right? I had to try it out. I had about 4 bottles of nail polish and 2 striping polishes at the time. I wont scare you at the beginning of this post with a throwback picture of that failed attempt at nail art, however, I will post it at the end. I will also mention that at that time I had just found out that I had Psyriosis which had severely affected my skin especially parts of my hands. So when It comes to the last picture of this post, please excuse my skin. So lets get into day 13 with some Nightmare Before Christmas nail art.

You'll have to excuse the Sally pattern. I had taken pictures shortly before going to bed and when I had woken up the next day to start editing the pictures, they were gone. So over night Sally had gotten a little squished. :(

Items Used:

China Glaze - White on White
ELF - Dark Navy
LA Colors Rapid Dry

Apple Barrel Acrylic Paints:

White
Black
Mosaic Blue
Apricot
Pink Eraser
Bright Yellow
Laguna

Now for the throwback. Please remember these were two years ago when I had NO IDEA what I was doing and looking back still have NO IDEA what I was going for. At the time I thought they were the greatest things since sliced bread. Boy was I wrong!

Looking back at this picture I would have never thought that 2 years later I would go from 4 nail polishes to over 700 nail polishes and still be doing this. You can definitely see the improvement. If I only knew then what I know now :).

Well that's it for the 13 days of Halloween series for 2014. I've had so much fun that I plan on doing it again next year. Hope you all enjoyed. Have a great and safe Halloween!

Let It Snow Challenge | Day 19 | Half Moons

The Let It Snow challenge is almost over. I'm a little sad. This has been super fun! Day 19 is Half Moons. I've never done half moons before so this was rather interesting. I know that most people use circle stickers to get the perfect half moon shape. I don't have any circle stickers so I just hand painted my half moons and I added a little extra to them. Hope you like!

Let It Snow Challenge | Day 18 | Tribal | With Tutorial

Today's Let It Snow challenge post is tribal. This was my first attempt at tribal nail art and I went a little simple. I also did a tutorial on how I did this tribal art. I will add what polishes I used at the end of the post. Hope you like.

Start of with a base coat to protect your nails.

Paint your base color and let that dry.

With a gold polish (or color of your choice) and a nail art brush, make two lines down the center of your nail and fill that in.

Take a black striping polish or black acrylic paint and a striping brush and make diagonal line down the center of your gold stripe.

Using a dotting tool or a toothpick, make a dot in between each triangle you just created.

Again, with your black striping polish or acrylic paint and striping brush, make a black line on either side of the gold polish.

Clean up if needed and apply a top coat and your finished!

 Polishes Used:

Fingerpaints- You Yacht To Know Better
Pure Ice- Get Low
Topped with Nail Tek Quicken

Black acrylic paint

Tools Used:
Nail art brush
Dotting Tool

If you decide to create this design feel free to share it with me on my Facebook Page.

L.A. Girl Metals Review

Today is going to be my first official blog post and first review. I am going to be reviewing some of L.A. Girls Metal Polishes. I have a total of 6 of them. I bought a few of them at a store called Gordmans which is not available in all states. The rest of them I bought through Cherryculture.com. They are very reasonably priced. At the store I bought them for $4.50 and online I paid $2.50. Onto the colors.

First up is Alkaline Blue which is the first one I bought. It is a darker blue with of course a metallic to it. It applied very easily and only required 1 coat. Yup, that's right. One coat.

Next up is Millennium which is a very pretty purple which I love. Again it only required 1 coat.

Chromium Green is up next. I love this shade of green. And yet again only required 1 coat.

Next we have Graphite which is a sort of charcoal-y gray color. Again, applied in 1 coat

The last 2 are my most recent additions. We have Pink Steel which is a very beautiful pink with hints of silver.

Last we have Bronze Medal which I was super excited about when I saw it online. I was however a little disappointed with the consistency of the polish. This one took 3 coats but overall I am happy with it.

I hope you all enjoyed this review. I am very happy with this collection and I will definitely be getting the remaining colors. I thought I would leave this post with some nail art I created using Pink Steel and Graphite. Hope you like. Which I actually forgot to upload so now I better go find it.

A minute later and here we go with the nail art. Sorry I can have blonde moments. Quite often actually.
