Let It Snow Challenge | Day 19 | Half Moons

The Let It Snow challenge is almost over. I'm a little sad. This has been super fun! Day 19 is Half Moons. I've never done half moons before so this was rather interesting. I know that most people use circle stickers to get the perfect half moon shape. I don't have any circle stickers so I just hand painted my half moons and I added a little extra to them. Hope you like!

Let It Snow Challenge | Day 18 | Tribal | With Tutorial

Today's Let It Snow challenge post is tribal. This was my first attempt at tribal nail art and I went a little simple. I also did a tutorial on how I did this tribal art. I will add what polishes I used at the end of the post. Hope you like.

Start of with a base coat to protect your nails.

Paint your base color and let that dry.

With a gold polish (or color of your choice) and a nail art brush, make two lines down the center of your nail and fill that in.

Take a black striping polish or black acrylic paint and a striping brush and make diagonal line down the center of your gold stripe.

Using a dotting tool or a toothpick, make a dot in between each triangle you just created.

Again, with your black striping polish or acrylic paint and striping brush, make a black line on either side of the gold polish.

Clean up if needed and apply a top coat and your finished!

Let It Snow Challenge | Day 17 | Igloos

Wow, 17 days into the Let It Snow Challenge. This has definitely been an experience. This is my second challenge I've done, however, the first was a complete fail. I was still learning things and was going through a lot and making excuses for why each post wasn't making being posted. I was in a funk. Well that funk is well over and I'm proud to say that I've made it this far into the challenge. This will not be my last, as this has been so much fun and I already cant wait for the next one.

With that being said, lets get on to Day 17 with Igloos. When I saw this I said to myself. How does one paint igloos on their nails. So I did just that. I painted an igloo on my nails. Hope you like.

Polishes Used:

Wet N Wild Wild Shine- French White Creme
Sinful Colors- Sugar Rush

Acrylic Paints used:
White
Black
Bimini Blue

Tools Used:

I've also switched from a white backdrop to a black backdrop for taking my pictures. I think it made a difference on how the pictures turn out. What do you think compared to other recent pictures of mine? Can you see a difference?

I cant wait to see what others have done for igloos in this challenge, and you can view those by using the links below.

Let It Snow Challenge | Day 15 | Winter Hats, Mittens and Scarfs

Day 15 of the Let it Snow Challenge theme is Winter Hats, Mittens and Scarfs. I sat on this idea for a while and was going to try and incorporate all 3 into my nail art. Nope, didn't happen. I chose to go with mittens. This turned out horrible. I have one that looks sort of like a mitten and the other looks like an oven mitt. Oh well, that's the point of a challenge. Right? I challenged myself to something I hadn't done, and failed. Which means this will be a try again mani. Well hope you like it more than I do.

I forgot to mention that as soon as I top coated it smeared in areas. The one time I don't use my acrylic paints and this happens.

Polishes Used:
Wet N Wild Wild Shine: Who is Ultra Violet
Wet N Wild Megalast: On a Trip
Wet N Wild Megalast: Tahitian Pearl
Pure Ice: Black Out
Sinful Colors: Stardust
Topped with Nail Tek Quicken

Tools Used:
Nail Art Brushes

I will at some point be redoing this mani. It has great potential.

Let It Snow Challenge | Day 14 | Stripes

Day 14 of the Let It Snow Challenge was actually inspired by a mani I had seen on Instagram by user @peaceloveandpolish. It didn't turn out the way I had expected and I think the reason for that is at the time of me doing these, my nails were longer than hers. With that being said, here they are. Hope you like.

Finger Paints A Pair Affair Collection Swatches

Today I have the Finger Paints A Pair Affair Collection for you. There are 6 polishes to this collection and they are gorgeous. I actually won these in an Instagram giveaway.

First up we have Bare No Secrets which is a nude shimmer. This is by far my favorite nude polish as of now.

The second polish we have is Sarong So Right which is an orange shimmer. This one was a bit on the thick side.

Next up we have Sage It Ain't So. This one is a green shimmer. I absolutely love this shade of green.

This polish is You Yacht To Know Better which is a blue shimmer. Such a gorgeous color.

A Grape Catch is a purple shimmer which almost looks metallic, However its not quite as dark as it shows here but its very close.

The last polish in this collection is Our Tips Are Tealed, which is a teal shimmer. This is probably my favorite of the bunch.

Overall I really like this collection. I love all the colors and the shimmer to each of them make them pop. The only complaint I would have is 3 out of the 6 of these came with wonky brushes making application a bit hard. Which of these are your favorite. Tell me in the comments below.

Today is the start of the second half of the Let it Snow Challenge. Day 12's theme is Snowman. I I had a hard time choosing what blue I wanted to use as my base under the glitter. So I took to my nail wheels. I think I painted about 7 different blues before choosing. Find out below what blue I choose. Hope you like them as much as I do.
